Every licence you pay for, explained

AssetNix shows the software you run, what it costs and where you are exposed, then puts what to do next in one queue.

See your whole estate

Installs and sign-ins from every source are recognised to publisher, product, edition and version. Anything that cannot be matched waits in a review queue with the reason.

Cut what nobody uses

Every renewal arrives as a decision with the evidence attached, and nobody loses a seat on unknown usage.

Renewals
A case opens 180 days out with the cost, who is active, low, unused or unknown, and a recommendation.
Reclamation
People are asked to keep or release a seat before anything is removed. The seat returns to the pool.
Access requests
Met from the reclaimed pool before a purchase is raised, and counted as cost avoidance.
SaaS governance
Every app found by any signal gets an owner and a verdict: approve, consolidate or block.

Be ready for the audit

Licence positions come from reviewed, versioned rules for the metrics publishers audit on. A missing input says Needs data and blocks sign-off, so nothing is guessed.

Oracle
Processor with core factor, Named User Plus minimums
IBM
PVU and VPC, full and sub-capacity
SAP
Named user categories, package and engine measurements
Microsoft
Per core, per socket, per vCPU, user and device CALs

The SAM manager signs the position each month, and a signed position replays identically.

Licence Compliance in the AssetNix demo workspace: three positions short, audit readiness Needs data for one publisher, priced exposure US$0 with one shortfall not priced, and readiness per publisher.
Licence Compliance: one shortfall has no price, so it is named, not shown as US$0.

Act from one queue

How it works

  1. Connect what you run

Identity, endpoint, ITSM, procurement, cloud billing and AI providers. Each source shows its last good sync.

  2. Recognise every install

Installs and sign-ins normalised to publisher, product, edition and version.

  3. Position every licence

Purchases become entitlements through rights review, set against use under each publisher’s metric.

  4. Act from one queue

Automation acts only within the policy you set, and every action writes an audit entry.

  5. Prove every saving

A saving counts as realised only once the next sync confirms it.

Security

Your data stays yours

Each workspace is isolated by PostgreSQL row-level security. The role the application runs as cannot bypass it.

No passwords stored

Sign in through Google, Microsoft or your own OpenID Connect provider.

Connectors read

Anything that changes another system, such as removing a licence or raising a ticket, runs under your automation policy and writes an audit entry.

A record that cannot be rewritten

Entitlement changes sit in a hash-chained ledger, evidence packs cannot be edited once made, and raw records keep their SHA-256 after they are purged.

Shipped in this release

Single sign-on
Google, Microsoft and OpenID Connect sign-in.
Data retention
Configured retention for logs, usage events and raw records, purged nightly.
Customer data export on exit
Full workspace export (privacy export and lakehouse datasets) before you leave.
